Erna is a PhD candidate in International Relations. Her research focuses on the responsibility to protect, the politics of protection and norm contestation. From 2012 to 2015, she was part of the 'Global Norm Evolution & the Responsibility to Protect' project, led by the Global Public Policy Institute. In 2015, she has been awarded the prestigious László Sólyom Scholarship. With this support, she was a Visiting Researcher at the European University Institute throughout 2016. In 2017, she has been a Fellow at the Montreal Centre for International Studies. Her recent publications include 'Parody as Norm Contestation: Russian Normative Justifications in Georgia and Ukraine and Their Implications for Global Norms'. She is a former Head of the International Relations Program at Mathias Corvinus Collegium, a Hungarian extracurricular higher education institution. She holds an MA from Central European University.
