CEU-funded scholarships with generous stipends are offered by the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations each year. Over a dozen PhD applicants are eligible for the Full CEU Doctoral Scholarship.

Where is the application form?

For the 2020-2021 Academic Year you can apply to each track of the PhD Program in Political Science via the online application form. You can access the form on the main application page.

The Doctoral School encourages you to select carefully the track where you apply. Please familiarize yourself with the profile of each track within the doctoral program to find the one that suits your research proposal the best. We encourage you to submit your application to no more than two different tracks.

In order to get accepted to the Doctoral Program, all applicants must meet the General CEU Admissions Requirements.

School-specific admission requirements

In addition to the General CEU Admissions Requirements, the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations requires some further documents from you in your application package. Follow this link to learn more about the specific requirements!

Financial Aid

Doctoral students are eligible to receive a full CEU Doctoral Scholarship for up to three years that covers all tuition fees and a generous living allowance for up to three years. Numerous additional funding opportunities exist, such as the Doctoral Research Support Grant Program, the Erasmus Mobility Scheme, and various research and travel funds.
