ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

CEU’s Annual Doctoral Conference (ADC) has been organized every year since 2006, providing opportunity to PhD students from CEU and partner institutions to present and discuss their research papers, test their ideas, while gaining valuable feedback from first class discussants. The 2018 ADC accepts applications form PhD candidates of the academic fields of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations. 

Date and Time: The ADC 2018 is held on Wednesday - Friday, 21-23 March 2018.

Venue: Popper and Gellner rooms

The event is hosted by the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy, and International Relations at CEU.

In 2018 the ADC offers 11 thematic panels in a wide range of topics. During the conference a poster session (Friday, 23 March 14:30-15:15) will also be held from a number of visualisations by CEU PhD Students.

PANELS AND PAPERS

The eleven conference panels offer 32 research papers presented during the three days of the conference. After the presentations by the PhD candidates, renowned discussants from CEU and partner universities will provide feedback and engage in discussion about the presented research. This year the Annual Doctoral Conference welcomes 8 discussant from partner univiersities, from the University of Birmingham, University of Edinbourgh the University of South Denmark and various research centers. 

We also welcome guest panelists, 7 PhD students from 7 partner institutions, presenting their research alongside CEU’s PhD candidates.

PARTICIPATING AS AUDIENCE

The Annual Doctoral Conference is a public event, but members of the audience are kindly asked to register in advance. To register for any session of the conference please fill out this form.
