Research papers submitted to CEU's 2015 Annual Doctoral Conference are now available online for participants and the interested audience. 

Annual Doctoral Conference Focuses on Democratic Erosion in Eastern Europe

CEU’s Doctoral School hosts its Annual Doctoral Conference on 20-21 April, featuring guest speakers Isabela Mares form Columbia University, and Mark Hallerberg from Hertie School of Governance. The two-day conference offers thirteen thematic panel sessions about political science, public policy and international relations, where CEU’s PhD candidates and a number of external panelists present and discuss their latest research projects.

Doctoral School Strengthens Research Focus in Comprehensive Exams

Comprehensive examinations at the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations (DSPS) are expected to become more research-focused with the latest updates introduced in the School’s regulations. The DSPS Doctoral Committee approved the changes in early March, reforming the old comprehensive examination system.

Record number of proposals at CEU’s Doctoral Conference

A record number of PhD candidates have submitted proposals to CEU’s Annual Doctoral Conference (ADC), which is to be held on 20-21 April 2015.

The Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations has received close to a hundred application from CEU PhD students and young researchers from other universities. External applications to the ADC were submitted from 22 institutions of higher education, from 17 different countries.

Annual Doctoral Conference Deadline Extended by Two Weeks

Proposal submission deadline for CEU’s Annual Doctoral Conference is extended until 14 February.

Due to the high level of international interest in CEU’s 2015 Annual Doctoral Conference, the Doctoral School of Political Science has extended the deadline for proposal submissions. The School decided to accept abstracts for another two weeks, extending the end-of-January deadline until 14 February 2015.
