Ceren Çetinkaya is a PhD candidate in International Relations at Central European University, Vienna. Her dissertation investigates the role of cultural producers in foreign policy-making with a focus on the production and circulation of Ottoman-themed Turkish soap operas in the MENA region. In the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic years she acted as the co-founder and co-chair of the Global Politics and Practice Research Group (GPP) at the university. She is currently a research intern at the Austrian Insitute for International Affairs (oiip). Before her Ph.D. studies, Çetinkaya worked as a project executive at the Turkish Education Foundation in İstanbul.
