Joyce is a PhD candidate in Political Science at Central European University, where she also earned her master’s degree, specializing in political economy.
Her research focuses on labor governance within the lower tiers of global supply chains. Joyce's current project explores the role of international pressures, supply chain conditions, and domestic institutions in enforcing global labor standards on fair wages, particularly in repressive states with extensive reliance on garment exports.
Previously, Joyce taught political science and social science research courses to BA students, conducted research on corporate governance performance of multinational firms, and contributed to externally-funded projects on Philippine local governance.
