I am a lawyer with a public policy background, passionate about exploring the intersection of political philosophy and public policy. My research focuses on the complex relationships between democratic theory, institutional design, and egalitarian ideals, with the aim of enhancing our understanding of democratic systems and their practical implications.
My current research investigates the role of equality and autonomy as foundational values in democratic theory and practice. I examine how equality and different conceptions of individual and collective autonomy inform our conception of democracy's value. This work considers previous and current research on relational egalitarianism and democratic authority, situating autonomy within broader debates about the justification of democracy. By analyzing the interplay between autonomy, equality, and democratic institutions, I aim to contribute to normative discussions on legislative composition, representation, and the dynamic between citizens, political parties, and democratic bodies.
