Letitia Roman is a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations with a minor in Social Science Methodology at Central European University (CEU) in Vienna. She holds MA degrees in International Affairs, with a specialization in Security and Sustainability from the Hertie School, and in International Relations from CEU.

Letitia's research interests are deeply rooted in understanding the intersection of climate change and conflicts, political violence, conflict management and peacebuilding, as well as European foreign and security policy. She is a dedicated methodological enthusiast with a focus on causal inference and mixed-methods research.

Professionally, Letitia has several years of experience working with think tanks and organizations specializing in International Security, in Vienna, Brussels and Berlin. This has equipped her with a practical understanding of the field, complementing her academic pursuits.

Currently, Letitia is serving as the acting chair of the Conflict and Security Research Group (ConSec) at CEU, where she organizes events and collaborates with fellow researchers to advance the understanding of all things security.
