I am a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations (minor in social science methodology) at Central European University in Vienna, a lecturer of the course Conflict Management in the Age of Climate Change (AY 2025/26), and an Eastern Europe Researcher with the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED). During the academic years 2023–24 and 2024–25, I served as acting chair of CEU’s Conflict and Security Research Group (ConSec).

My research focuses on the intersection of climate change and conflict, with particular interests in political violence, conflict escalation and management, peacebuilding, and European foreign and security policy. Methodologically, I specialize in causal inference and mixed- and multi-method designs. Some of my work is forthcoming in the Journal of Political Institutions and Political Economy and in Springer Nature's Climate Change Management series.

Before joining ACLED, I worked with think tanks and organizations in Vienna, Brussels, and Berlin on issues of international security. I hold an MA in International Relations from CEU and an MA in International Affairs (Security & Sustainability) from the Hertie School; I received a BA in Security Studies from the University of Bucharest.
