Monica joined the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations in November 2020. The Doctoral School offers the largest PhD program at CEU with over 100 students enrolled in the PhD in Political Science.
Since she joined CEU she has managed the budget of the Doctoral School, worked on internal and external communication, event planning and the doctoral student cycle from recruitment to graduation. At the university, she has continued the work of former coordinators who have been active in organizing and chairing regular meetings that foster better cross-departmental communication, incentivize best practices across the university and are an important channel of internal communication for non-academic staff who work in academic departments.
She has previous work experience in translation and localization, customer support, communications, and publishing.
In the academic year 2024-25 she is the contact person at the Doctoral School for academic matters for the PhD program in Political Science. You can contact her for issues related to curriculum planning and scheduling, course registration, SITS and ETD support for students, organization of comprehensive exams and doctoral defenses, supervisory panels, TAships and year-round academic matters.
