My research interests lie in posthuman and interspecies politics and the Arctic region, where I also come from.
My PhD dissertation analyzes human–salmon politics at the Arctic Njauddâm River, where people have relied on Atlantic salmon for centuries but are now faced with sea change in the river and the ocean, their familiar salmon diminishing in numbers and an invasive salmon species entering the river. My dissertation formulates ways, in which humans, salmon, and other river dwellers co-create and maintain regulation and politics at the river.
Prior to pursuing the PhD, I have worked as a renewable energy policy advisor, freelance journalist, and for the Arctic Council and Barents cooperation.
